Postponing Activities

Postponing Activities

1) If you know the future dates for the Activities,  change the dates on the Activities and the Sessions. Follow the order as described below -

  • Extend the Activity end date/time
  • Update the Session/Event dates/times
  • Then update the Activity Start date/time

2) Change the dates for the Credit Claiming deadline.

3) However, if you still want your Speakers and Coordinators to be able to work on Session building and document uploads and other actions, leave the Manage Activity, Sessioning, Ready room, Speaker Docs, Activity Close Out deadlines, and if needed extend the end date on these deadlines.

4)  If the Activity has Speaker forms added to the 'Manage Forms' section, please make sure the activate and deactivate dates are accurate.

5) If you are changing the dates on the Activities, Sessions and Deadlines to a future time, you don't need to make them Private. If you are unsure of the dates, make them Private.

Note:

a) Private Activities and Sessions are hidden only from the public. If the deadlines are open for these private activities, Coordinators and Speakers will still be able to access them from the front end.

b) Technically, Evaluations do not require any dates because they are tied either to an Activity or Session and they show up only when the Sessions and Activities are available to the public. If you have dates on the evaluations change them to match with the future Activity and Sessions dates; or completely remove them if you do not know the future dates.
